Como Restaurant
South Brisbane
Como is a gorgeous upmarket Italian restaurant and bar bringing a touch of Lake Como class to South Brisbane's Melbourne Street.
A Vespa is parked out out front of the entrance and inside you'll find a glamorous and intimate dining room with luxe leather booths and banquettes for groups and intimate booths for couples and with a stunning marble bar as a centrepiece.
A match for the decor, Como guests are treated to an opulent dining experience with offerings including caviar and champagne and authentic modern Italian bites which have been passed down through generations.
With Head Chef Isala Dal Flume (previously Chef de Cuisine at Bacchus Restaurant) at the helm, the exquisite modern Italian menu draws upon the top culinary regions of Italy using fresh seasonal produce.
Start with small bites like Shark Bay sand crab; Oscietra caviar or Byron Bay burrata, perfect with an apperitvo, then choose from pasta dishes like pappardelle with boar ragu or spaghetti champagne lobster.
There's also a selection of traditional pizzas including the Como signature (porcini mushrooms, bresaola, mozzarella, 34.50 rocket & shaved parmesan truffle oil) while Mains include Duck Breast Game Farm, Market Fish and steaks like the must-try Cabassi Wagyu fullblood coulotte.
To drink there are signature cocktails such as Como Spritz and Prodigo Negroni as well as Italian classics, a spritz menu, appertivi, grappe and digestivi, and a comprehensive wine list featuring wines from Australia, New Zealand, Italy France, USA and Spain.
Need to know - There is limited street parking available nearby. Como is approx 400m walk to QPAC.
