The Wolf
Brisbane City
Located in the heart of Brisbane City at Post Office Square, The Wolf is a European-inspired deli, providore, wine store, restaurant and bar.
Perfectly positioned opposite the grassy, public square, the deli is open every weekday from 7am-4:30pm; caffeinating city workers with 100% organic coffee, served along with buttery croissants and flaky pastries.
The continental deli also offers a tantalising selection of lunch-style fare such as seasonal salads, pizza al taglio, and crusty baguettes filled with Italian cured meats, king prawn and avocado, or mushrooms and gruyere cheese.
The deli doubles as a gourmet grocer, offering a range of imported items, from fromage and salumi, olive oil and vinegar, pasta and sauces, sardines and caviar. You'll also find an array of fine wines and champagnes, Sardinian lager, and Italian soft drinks.
Found adjacent with a separate entrance, The Wolf restaurant and bar is sophisticated, featuring warm timbers and traditional terrazzo flooring, with colourful, original artwork adorning the walls.
The restaurant's colour scheme is thoughtfully inspired by the rich colours of spices - the deep red of paprika, the fiery vibrancy of chilli, and the golden hues of saffron - all combined to create a warm, inviting ambiance.
The mouthwatering menu is heavily influenced by France, Italy and Spain, and features dishes made using traditional techniques such as cooking over charcoal coals.
Starters range from Duck Liver Parfait with kumquat chutney and brioche toast, and Green Carpaccio cured Black Kingfish, to Sea Scallops Saltimbocca, and freshly shucked Oysters.
Sumptuous mains include Charcoal Fired King Prawns with coconut cauliflower puree and cardamon-infused bisque, Brisbane Valley Quail with wild grain and chorizo stuffing, Wagyu Sirloin with bone marrow butter and Bordelaise sauce, and Tasmanian rock lobster with black garlic butter and seasonal vegetables.
For dessert, there's Caramelized Rhubarb Tart, Dark Belgium Chocolate Cake, Watermelon-Passionfruit Granita, plus an artisanal cheese selection served with condiments.
The Wolf is fully licensed offering a carefully curated extensive wine list, featuring top drops from around the world and Australia, as well as delectable cocktails.
