Daiki Grill and Bar
Sunnybank Hills
Daiki Grill and Bar brings the mouth-watering, fiery flavours of Sichuan province to Sunnybank Hills with a cyberpunk-style restaurant bar.
Located in Sunnybank Hills, the neon-lit venue offers an array of authentic Sichuan dishes with bold flavours, including signature dishes like Kung Pao chicken; cumin lamb stir-fry; braised pork with preserved vegetables;roast duck in spicy pot; and grilled barramundi with spicy pepper sauce.
The menu also boasts a delicious range of charcoal BBQ skewers, from wagyu beef and lamb, to pork belly, chicken wings, squid and enoki mushrooms with garlic sauce. The skewers, from a local recipe in Leshan, Sichuan, are pre-marinated in more than 20 herbs including star anise, cinnamon, and sweet pine.
In addition, there's a selection of cold dishes - sweet and sour ribs, dry fried Sichuan beef, cold noodles with shredded roast chicken, and wasabi duck feet.
And rounding out the traditional menu are more exotic dishes like spicy eel and fried rabbit with red and green chilli, or, for the more adventurous - pork trotter soup or pickled ginger bullfrog.
Must try is Daiki's signature Grilled Fish, which boasts a thousand-year history and a unique blend of ancestral secret recipes and modern cooking styles. Originating from Wushan, Wanzhou, Chongqing, this dish uses marinating, roasting, and simmering techniques to create a glutinous, soft, spicy, and rich flavour.
Daiki is fully licensed, offering Chinese beer (Harbin, Tsingtao and Wusu), Asahi and Corona, as well as a concise wine list, together with shochu and classic cocktails like Dry Martini, Mojito and Negroni. Non-boozy beverages include homemade lychee soda, Calpis soft drinks, hot green tea and red Oolong tea latte.
