Updated: Feb 23, 2023

Since opening in 2017, Alphonsus Pizza at Eight Mile Plains has become the place to visit on Brisbane’s southside for traditional Neapolitan pizzas.

Located within The Glen Hotel, diners can sit in the open air alfresco-style courtyard as they watch the artistry from the Alphonsus kitchen. Centre stage are the gleaming white pizza ovens from Naples, with the Hotel’s award winning Pizzaiolos at the helm.

The menu offers hand stretched, traditional Neapolitan pizzas topped with the freshest ingredients from the Hotel’s on-site herb garden. The award-winning Wagyu Pesto Pistachio pizza is a crowd favourite with pesto sauce, Wagyu Bresaola, buffalo mozzarella and pistachio crumbs.

The pastas are also first class with handmade gnocchi and vegan friendly ravioli. And definitely keep an eye out for their themed pizza specials throughout the year – they sell out quickly!

Bambinos are not forgotten with handmade pizza and pasta options available on the Kids menu. Plus during school holidays, Alphonsus Pizza hosts Bambino Workshops for 4-12 year old children. These workshops introduce children to the culinary journey with educational purpose, and range from pizza making, and themed dessert decorating, to learning and planting their own herbs in painted pots.
