Archer Brewing
Wilston
Archer Brewing is a mega microbrewery located in a landmark re-purposed World War II hangar in Wilston.
From the savvy couple who were behind the aviation-themed secret bunker brewery bar underneath the old Spring Hill Hotel, Archer Brewing continues the quirky airline theme with the Wilston venue, including the bar, which is made from the last Ansett 727 plane to take to the air.
Enter through the massive double doors and look up to see a portrait painting of the couple’s Border Collie, Archer looking down from his high vantage point.
The core range of beers on tap include a mid-strength lager, Pilsner, Pale Ale, I.P.A and Rice Lager, which are are all crafted by head brewer Chris Fletcher who hails from 2 Brothers Brewing in Moorabbin, Victoria. Also on the menu will be a new Apple Cider which is made from 100% Stanthorpe Apples as well as a few rotating guest taps such as Sealegs Brewing, Diablo, Brouhaha and 27 South.
Wine, spirit and cocktail offerings also hail from Australian wineries and distilleries and food will be supplied by local food trucks until Archer Brewing's own bar food menu is up and running.
Good to know - Owner Stuart’s prior-occupation as a commercial pilot and his first flight (which happened to be on an Archer plane) are the inspiration for the name Archer Brewing.
