New Light Young Explorers Tour, Tue, Wed + Thu, 9.15am-10.15am, Cost $15

MoB is opening its doors before hours just for you with the return of the Young Explorers Tour. In this fully immersive excursion, little art fans (ages 6-12 years) will go on a special tour of the New Light: Photography Now + Then exhibition, and learn about some of the ideas and themes behind the art to spark their creativity.

They’ll be able to get hands on with some real-life artworks with a special interactive touch trolley before trying their hand at making a creation to take home. Parents and carers can choose to tag along or sit back and relax in the Dome Gallery while they wait.

Museum of Brisbane

Snip-Snap Badge Studio, 14-29 September, 10:30am-1:30pm, Cost $2 for 1, $5 for 3

Help remix the Alfred Eliott photography collection from the New Light: Photography Now + Then exhibition and create funky new scenes at the Snip-Snap Badge Studio. Suitable for all ages, be inspired by the photography on display and snip, glue and collage images together from the exhibition with modern imagery to create a piece of wearable art.
