Citron Bayside

Wellington Point

Updated: Oct 02, 2025

Citron brings a Mediterranean vibe to Brisbane's bayside with all-day breakfast, lunch, dinner* and drinks.

A sibling for Bulimba's Melrose Restaurant and Darvella Patisserie, Citron is a breezy Mediterranean-inspired eatery perched on a leafy street corner in Wellington Point, featuring glossy white tiles, an arched doorway, and pops of bright yellow.

Patrons can dine inside Citron with banquette seating provided along one wall, or al fresco on the footpath beneath the massive poinciana tree.

All-day breakfast fare includes classics like smashed avo on toast with smoked feta, eggs Benedict with bacon, smoked salmon or halloumi, and loaded omelets stuffed with tomato, feta, spinach, kalamata olives and marinated artichokes.

Alternatively, there's shakshuka (spicy tomato and capsicum baked eggs), pesto eggs (house-made pesto and fried eggs on sourdough served with roast cherry tomatoes), and for sweet tooths - fluffy pancakes with strawberries, mascarpone and maple syrup. Plus, there's a scrumptious selection of pastries on offer supplied by Darvella

The lunch menu, available from 11am, consists of small and large plates designed to share. The former includes Sydney rock oysters, marinated olives, lamb meatballs and salmon carpaccio served with preserved lemon, caper and baguette toasts; while the latter ranges from grilled king prawns and whole baked rainbow trout to roast lamb shoulder served with labne, pomegranate and mint.

Coffee on pour is an Australian and Indonesian blend by Lost Race Coffee. Otherwise, there are teas by Tea Culture, Hrvst St cold pressed juices, sparkling water and soft drinks.

Citron is licensed with a concise wine list, local craft and imported beer (Estrella, Peroni and Birra Moretti), served along with spritz cockailsAperol, Amalfi, Capri and Limoncello.
