The Mailman in Alexandra Hills delivers the goods with expertly brewed espresso, freshly baked treats and delicious, inspired brunch fare. 

The corner cafe in the bayside suburb, owned by self-confessed foodies, chefs and newly-weds Jasmin Zhu and Myles Hartley, welcomes customers with a chic, modern decor providing dining inside and al fresco.

The all day menu boasts classic breakfast fare such as free-range eggs on sourdough; avocado on toast with crumbled feta, pickled chilli and ginger, and crispy kale; and garlic mushrooms with romesco, grated parmesan, crispy enoki and poached egg on sourdough. 

Inspired brunch fare includes chipotle brisket benedict served with collard greens, smoked hollandaise, and sourdough, and the scrumptious cinnamon fried baos with peanut brittle, salted caramel, berry compote and black sesame ice-cream.

In addition, there's a takeaway menu featuring gourmet toasties, a brekky burger and a fried chicken burger. 

The cafe is child-friendly with a kid's menu offering Belgium waffles with ice-cream, bacon & egg, and chicken nuggets with chips.

Drinks wise, there's coffee by Canberra-based roaster ONA, loose leaf teas, hot chocolate, chai latte, turmeric latte, cold pressed orange juice, housemade lemonade, passionfruit iced tea with pearls, and decadent milkshakes like biscoff caramel, Cadbury chocolate and strawberry sorbet. 

Nice to know - The Mailman menu includes gluten-free and dairy-free options.
