Unkempt Espresso Bar

Rochedale

Last updated: Feb 09, 2022

Unkempt is a cool, shipping container pit stop serving expertly brewed Elixir espresso and tasty brunch fare, found beside the bustling Rochedale Markets.

Unkempt Espresso Bar, Rochedale

Popular with parents doing the school run and those doing their weekly shop at the markets, Unkempt provides a handful of tables under umbrellas, with additional seating overlooking the rear parking lot, where customers can sit and savour their well-brewed coffee and enjoy a bite to eat with a second container operating as a kitchen.

The concise food menu includes breakfast favourites like avocado on rye with Danish feta and lemon, bacon and egg brioche rolls, and smoked leg ham and cheddar cheese croissants.

Otherwise, there's the Breakfast Banh Mi (streaky bacon and free-range fried eggs with coriander and fresh chill on a crunchy, Vietnamese baguette) and Fritter Stack - house-made feta and mint pea fritters topped with soft fried eggs, smashed avo, labneh and sweet chilli jam.

In addition, there are tasty toasties - triple smoked ham and cheese; haloumi and sweet potato; chicken, cheddar and avocado; and BLT - as well as gourmet sandwiches ready to grab-and-go.

Conveniently located next to Rochedale Markets, you can get caffeinated and pick up some fresh fruit and veggies and grocery items all in the one place, plus there's an on-site greenhouse that sells tropical plants and more.

Nice to know - Unkempt is the older sibling of Wilburs General Store in Holland Park.
