Yoke Kitchen

West End

YOKE KITCHEN HAS CLOSED IN APRIL 2024.

Yoke Kitchen is a plant-based cafe and deli in West End dishing up wholesome and nourishing fare for breakfast and lunch.

The very vegan eatery is housed in a old character shop (formerly Mario's Italian) tucked away in West End's historic Rialto Theatre precinct. The charmingly rustic space features plenty of timber including a unique knotted wood floor, with handcrafted tables and chairs spilling out onto the footpath.

The concise menu boasts simple, wholesome fare such as house-made, gluten-free seeded sourdough with nut butters, amazake buckwheat pudding with salted coconut almond granola and fresh fruit, and Fancy Toast with carrot hummus, miso tahini, pickles, hazelnut dukkah, and handmade tofu.

Otherwise, there's shakshuka (tofu in Middle Eastern spiced green sauce served with house-made, wholewheat sourdough flat bread) and a daily brunch curry - such as sweet pototo and tamarind - drizzled with tahini.

Plus, there's a selection of fresh salads and yummy sweets like apple rhubarb cake and pumpkin pie, to enjoy onsite or take-away.

Drinks wise, there's coffee by Blackboard, tea by The Steepery, Yoke chai batch brewed on house-made almond milk, organic cold pressed juices, smoothies and more.
