Knowhere
Spring Hill
Knowhere is Spring Hill's stunning unique restaurant and bar, offering breakfast and lunch daily, along with dinner and drinks from Tuesday to Saturday.
Inspired by Spanish artist Salvador Dali and British luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen, the gorgeous decor combines bright and bold botanical wallpapers with pops of pink neon and glittering chandeliers, with cowhide bar stools, green velvet banquette seating, and brass features including flamingos and a real-size motorcycle.
Patrons can enjoy a drink with friends at the bar, nestle into the luxe banquette seating, or dine al fresco with two outdoor seating areas available.
The delicious food menu, crafted by Chef Marty Coard (formerly with Baja), includes house-made, dry-aged, smoked and charcuterie meats.
Breakfast ranges from simple fare such as eggs your way with grilled sourdough and hazelnut romesco sauce, and crushed avocado on sourdough with feta and wattle seed dukkha, to smoked salmon benedict with potato rosti and yuzu hollandaise, and smoked pineapple and coconut panna cotta with freeze-dried banana and Italian meringue.
Charcuterie served with grilled bread and accompaniaments is served after 12pm - think chicken liver parfait, smoked pork chorizo, classic Spanish salami, and Queso de Valdeón, a Spanish blue cheese from León.
The lunch and dinner menus consist of small plates and main dishes. The former includes kingfish crudo with honeydew, charred avocado and smoked soy, Magra lamb ribs with charred spring onion cream and tomatillos, and house ricotta with zhug (green hot sauce) and charred grapes.
Mains range from dry aged smoked rump and Berkshire port t-bones, to dry aged duck breast served with lacto blueberry mole, roasted plum and green herbs.
Meanwhile, sweet offerings for dessert are smoked pineapple and coconut panna cotta, or raspberry sorbet with goat's cheese crémeux and roasted white chocolate.
Perched on a busy Spring Hill street corner, Knowhere features a coffee window where you can pick up a well-brewed coffee on the way to work, along with a slice of banana bread, gluten-free friand or gourmet sandwich like a pastrami and comte jaffle, smoked tofu bahn mi, or house-smoked bacon and egg roll.
Coffee on pour is by Reverence Coffee Roaster, served along with specialty loose leaf tea, house-made herbal tea, hot chocolate, chai, fresh juices and smoothies.
Knowhere is fully licensed, offering craft beer, wine and bespoke cocktails featuring Australian spirits exclusively.
