Kangaroo Point Bridge Restaurant & Bar
Brisbane’s exciting new cross-river pedestrian link, the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge, spanning 460m, will feature an above-water restaurant and bar, riverside cafe and public viewing platforms on either side, embracing the 360 degree cityscape views.
In the week ending June 1, both sides of the bridge have been connected, with the final span of the city-shaping project in place, and the bridge is 85 per cent complete as all major structural elements of the bridge are now finished.
When completed, it one will be of the only bridges in the world with a boutique bar and restaurant. The above-water restaurant and bar, named Stilts, will offer a world-class dining experience, allowing patrons to experience stunning views of the Brisbane River, CBD, Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point cliffs.
“Brisbane is known as the river city and this new bridge will help people get closer to the riverside by providing spaces to stop and enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the impressive outlook across the river and of the Story Bridge.” said Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner.
“The Kangaroo Point Green Bridge will seamlessly link Kangaroo Point, the eastern suburbs, and the CBD together, while reducing car trips across the river by up to 84,000 each year," he said.
Good to know - Completion is scheduled for the latter half of 2024, when the bridge will officially open to the public.
