Ombra Italian Bar is a tiny authentic Italian tapas and wine bar in the village-like New Farm Cinemas precinct of New Farm.

Take a seat outside or in the chic minimalist interior with polished floorboards and retro Italian travel posters on the walls and enjoy a cocktail, Italian beer or wine and a delicious bite to eat.

Both the food and wine menu will take you on a culinary trip across all of the regions of Italy, complemented by a smattering of Australian wines and aperitivo such as Aperol Spritz, Americano, Negroni and Choca-vodka sour.

The authentic fresh food served at Ombra is a taste sensation and prepared fro fresh seasonal produce, with tapas ranging from nibbles like olives stuffed with meat cheese and truffle; bite-sized Arancini truffle & Fintal served with truffle mayo or codfish croquettes with mayo to artisan salumi and cheese boards to share.

Larger dishes (mini-mains) include pumpkin soup with gorgonzole, caprese di bufala (buffalo mozzarella, tomato & basil); ricotta and spinach ravioli and bolognese lasagne.

There's also a range of pasta and gnocchi where diners can choose their own sauce from bolognese, pesto and Italian meatballs to gorgonzola and funghi.

Good to know - This is a top bar for couples, small groups of friends or singles to dine alone and for a pre- or post-cinema drink or bite to eat. Ombra is dog-friendly with a handful of tables out front where dogs can be leashed and sit with owners.
