The Parlour

Fortitude Valley

The Parlour in Fortitude Valley is a stylish, moody Italian Riviera-themed bar inspired by the notorious Gulf of La Spezia, or the Gulf of Poets, a summer hangout of arts and literature icons such as Ernest Hemingway, Lord Byron and Virginia Woolf.

The Parlour Fortitude Valley

Decked out out with dim lighting, curved booths, cocktail trolleys, framed vintage photos and marble tiles, The Parlour is the latest addition to the collection of Italian bars and eateries (La Costa Restaurant & Bar and Cielo Rooftop) behind the heritage-listed facade of Valley's original picture theatre.

The Parlour Fortitude Valley

Like upstairs bar Cielo, the cocktail list for The Parlour was devised by the brains behind the world's number 11 bar, Sydney's Maybe Sammy. Broken into Signatures and literature-inspired Classic twists, the cocktails are built around theatrical presentation including magic tricks, multi-sensory elements, and a hefty dose of vintage style.

The Parlour Fortitude Valley

The Signatures menu includes the fragrant Fenhurst with Tanqueray No. 10, Massenez Crème De Pêche, Lillet Rouge, citrus, coconut and a citrus bubble, while the Classic twists list includes The Tilted World with Johnnie Walker Black, Domaine De Canton ginger liqueur, citrus, egg white, pear and spiced red wine ice. A range of premium wines, beers and spirits is also on offer.

To accompany the drinks, a tempting menu of cicchetti is available until late and includes the likes of beef carpaccio with parmesan, pine nuts and truffle oil, daily arancini specials, and cheese and charcuterie boards.

Good to know - On Saturday nights things ramp up with DJ sessions.
