Frankie's Smokehouse

Woolloongabba

Frankie's Smokehouse is Woolloongabba's best-kept secret - a traditional American smokehouse and beer garden tucked away in a heritage-listed building between Stanley Street and the South East freeway.

After celebrating 2 years in their unique space, Frankie’s Smokehouse has expanded! With a combination of small tables to long tables for those larger group bookings, the new space allows for more meat loving diners to experience what low n' slow barbecue is all about.

Diners can take a seat inside the funky, industrial-style, dimly-lit interior or if the weather is good, at the handful of BBQ tables in the tiny, light-strung garden outside, alongside the massive 8.5m custom smoker.

On offer at Frankie's is a menu of delectable smoked meats, which are cooked over aged ironbark outside on the massive  smoker.

All of Frankie's dishes come in generous portions, so bring an appetite when dining here. On the menu are loaded fries (topped with pulled pork, 12-hour brisket and sauce); smoked wings (BBQ, buffalo or naked) with ranch sauce; fried onion rings and pulled pork or 12-hour smoked brisket roll, with coleslaw, house-made BBQ sauce and pickle.

Larger offerings include Beef Short Rib or Pork Ribs (with pickle, coleslaw, pickled jalapenos, house-made BBQ sauce, bread roll & fries) or the 12-hour Brisket or Pulled Pork Plate (with pickle, coleslaw, pickled jalapenos, house-made BBQ sauce, bread roll & fries). Can't decide between smoked brisket or pulled pork? Then order a Platter for One or Two, which have all of the trimmings above plus both meats.

Frankie's also has a cracking range of craft beers which go down a treat with the smoked BBQ meats and there's also a selection of wine and spirits. If you don't fancy a meal, you are welcome to drop in for a drink or two to enjoy with some onion rings or fries.

There's also a Kid's Meal - a cheeseburger with choice of brisket or pork and BBQ sauce with fries. Frankie's also have high chairs for those with bubs in tow. And 4-legged family members are welcome to join their owners in the garden outside (on-leash).

Nice to know - Frankie's menu is gluten-free except the bread rolls, so they are a gluten-free and coeliac friendly venue.
