Kangaroo Point

Medley KP commands a prime riverfront position at Kangaroo Point, nestled in the exclusive history-laden Yungaba enclave alongside the Story Bridge.

The contemporary open plan eatery with 2 level terraced deck makes the most of the stunning views across to the Howard Smith wharves, Brisbane River Walk and New Farm cliffs and is an unbeatable spot to catch some warm morning rays in winter or cool river breezes in summer.

Open for all-day breakfast, the international menu (which offers both light or substantial dishes) takes its inspiration from the history of the area. The grand heritage-listed building Yungaba, which has been converted into luxury apartments, was the first point of call for migrants from 1887 through to post World War II when it was a reception and training centre for European migrants.

Start the day with something light, like Medley house-made muesli or toasted ham and cheese croissant or dig in to one of their heartier breakfast dishes. Choices include Eggs Florentine; Korean style pancake; Asian chilli crab scrambled egg; Shakshuka or Teriyaki Beef Brekky Burger.

Drinks-wise there's Brunch Cocktails such as Mimosa, Champagne Cocktail or Basil Spritz as well as Medley Iced Tea, Passionfruit Elixir or a Virgin Mary as well as a range of teas, coffee, fresh squeezed juices, smoothies and shakes.

Good to know - It’s also a great place for mums with prams to catch up, with plenty of space between tables and accessible waterfront paths leading to parking. Dogs on leashes are welcome on the outside deck.

Need to  know - There’s a council car park on Wharf St which usually has plenty of spots otherwise there’s multi-hour metered street parking around Wharf St and down near Captain Burke Park under the bridge.
