One of Brisbane's cheap dining gems, Malaysia Makanan serves up authentic cuisine in no frills surrounds from its home in the midst of a Calamvale shopping centre.

On the menu are hawker style dishes such as Mie and Nasi Goreng, Singapore noodles and Char Kway Teow and on the specials list are standouts Nasi Lemak (coconut rice, curry chicken, rending beef, sambal chilli egg and pickled veges) and butter herbal prawns or chicken or traditional Roti Canai.

Otherwise there's a host of mix'n'match curries, noodle dishes and soups.
