Trove Bar is a glamorous old world cocktail bar in Brisbane's CBD, tucked away upstairs in a landmark 19th century hotel on the corner of George and Elizabeth Streets.

Located above Irish Murphy's, in one of the oldest hotel sites in the city (circa 1865), this sophisticated bar, one of Brisbane's best kept secrets, features dark timber, exposed brick, bold wallpaper and luxe chartreuse velvet banquette seating.

Take the historic indoor staircase up to Trove Cocktail Bar, and enter another world that could be out of an Agatha Christie novel, with rich dark wood panelled walls with ornate trim, velvet banquettes and bar chairs, gilt-framed mirrors, bronze busts, book shelves taxidermy, antique chandeliers and stunning tropical-themed wallpaper.

A match for the splendid decor are the bespoke creative cocktails, which are carefully crafted using native Australia ingredients, paying homage to the unique and vibrant bush tucka ingredients found across Australia.

The cocktail menu takes its names from these bush tucka ingredients, such as Bush Apple (Bush Apple gin, Apple Eau de Vie, farigoule, citrus & whites), Davidson Plum (Husk Spiced Rum, Davidson Plum Liqueur, orgeat, falernum & Angostura Bitters); Old Man Salt Bush (Old Man Salt Bush Vodka, Gentiane de Lure, tomato juice, citrus, sodium mix, tabasco & celery foam); and Rosella (Three Foxes Organic Gin, Rosella & Apple Cider Shrub & sparkling wine).

And that's not all. The Trove collection features many distinctive concoctions, each highlighting a different native botanical, with the mixology team blending traditional flavours with contemporary techniques, to create drinks that are nor just a taste sensation but  also tell a story of Australia's natural bounty.

To accompany, there are also bush tucka flavoured bar nibbles like jumbo green olives with saltbush, dessert lime & chilli dust. Trove also offers a predominantly Australian wine list, craft beer on tap, bottled beer, and boutique spirits.
