Fick Brewing
Northgate
Fick Brewing is a Belgian-inspired, small batch brewery and bar found secreted away in industrial Northgate.
This suburban brewhouse is the brainchild of husband and wife team Nadresha Costa and Fabrizio Ceccarelli, a former Luxembourg native who began his brewing career across the border in Belgium.
The dynamic duo have transformed a warehouse space into a stylish European-influenced eatery and taproom, with adjacent open air, rustic beer garden.
Customers can currently sample the microbrewery's golden ale table beer and red IPA, as well as two guest beers: Madocke Beer's Belgian-style saison brewed on the Gold Coast and strawberry sour from the Sunshine Coasts's Glass House Brewery.
A short and sweet menu of European street food complements the craft beer on offer, including French-style pizzas (tartes flambée) - light pastries topped with crème fraiche, portobello mushrooms and gorgonzola. Otherwise, there's burgers like the Luxemburger (beef pattie with blue cheese, jalapeno mayo and mustard) and a slow-cooked beef brisket and Fick golden ale pie.
In addition, there's a delicious cheese platter piled with Australian artisan and imported cheese, crispbread, olives and condiments, with the option of adding charcuterie: Serrano ham, garlic salami, truffle salami and mallorquina (spicy pig cheek paste).
Besides beer, there's a concise wine list and boutique spirits.
