Updated: Nov 06, 2025

K & K Austrian Coffee House is a quaint and rustic little eatery tucked away in the industrial back streets of Sinnamon Park, and one which comes as a highly pleasant surprise for those who stumble upon it.

The coffee house-bakery-restaurant is the place for hearty alpine fare at rustic prices, from the soups ( goulash, leberknodel and Vienna potato) to the traditional grostl (a mishmash of pan-fried ingredients such as bacon, egg and knodel or dumplings) served in a frying pan with an accompanying salad.

The menu is fairly extensive and includes all kinds of northern European delights such as rollmops, sausages (kransky cheese, Vienna franks or bratwurst), a range of schnitzels, pork hock (with a 3 day advance order), ham and leek spatzle and more. Desserts hail from the inhouse bakery and feature strudel, Danish pastries and cinnamon sticks.

Their signature dessert is well worth trying - a souffle pancake named after Austria's last emperor and served on authentic Austrian porcelain.

Nice to know - For those with a lighter appetite there are also a range of freshly made sandwiches or pies and salad.

Good to know - Fully licensed, K & K Austrian Coffee House serve a mix of Austrian, Czech, German and Australian beer, wine from Austria and Oz, as well as traditional schnapps and gluhwein in winter.
