Bunyaville Conservation Park

Albany Creek

Bunyaville Conservation Park is a true wildlife sanctuary right in the middle of Brisbane suburbia with well maintained tracks, with the Bunyaville Environmental Education Centre (BEEC) also located onsite.

Within the park, there are several large grassy areas which are perfect for large gatherings and playing footy. There are also ten designated mountain bike tracks (of varying ability) around the park - some are super steep and some less challenging.

Koalas, wallabies, reptiles, insects, and thousands of native birds and plants call Bunyaville Conservation Park home. During daylight hours, the parklands welcome walkers, nature lovers, bird watchers, picnickers, mountain bike riders and even horses. For bushwalkers, there are plenty of wider fire trails to explore as well as narrow side trails which meander through quiet gullies, eucalypt forests and past a small lake.

The Bunyaville Track is a gentle 1.7km walk through the bushland and there are many clear signposts along the way explaining facts about wildlife in the area. Koalas have occasionally been spotted along the Tree Discovery Circuit, which is a short loop track diversion off the Bunyaville Track.

During Spring, there are plenty of wildflowers to observe in the parklands and during summer, the shady canopy provides a peaceful place to cool off at the end of a hot day.

Nice to know - There are both undercover and outdoor barbecues (wood supplied), toilet facilities, and picnic tables dotted around the parklands.

Need to know - Vehicle access to Bunyaville Conservation Park is via Old Northern Road, Albany Creek. There are designated parking areas within the parklands, however the gates close at 6pm.
