Updated: Jan 10, 2021

Hako Sushi Bar is a hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, from a quiet corner of an Eight Mile Plains business park.

Occupying a large corner premises, the eatery is sleek and modern, with a variety of seating options both indoors and out. Popular with individuals and large groups alike, Hako offers a generous selection of ready-to-eat sushi rolls and other Japanese goodies for those in a hurry, as well as an extensive a-la-carte menu.

Menu selections include Japanese curries, don (rice bowls), ramen and udon noodles, tempura, sashimi and, of course, a healthy range of sushi rolls. If you’re overwhelmed by choice, then the bento boxes are a great – and very popular – place to start. These come in a range of different meats (chicken, beef, pork) and flavours (katsu, teriyaki, mayo etc), and come accompanied with rice, vegetable salad, panko prawn, edamame, and a chef’s choice of sushi roll.

Drinks wise, Hako Sushi Bar is licensed and also BYO, plus there’s a good range of soft drinks, juices, energy drinks, probiotics and protein milks. Over the summer months, a selection of sorbet and ice creams are also on offer to complement your meal.

Good to know – A range of catering options are available for those planning a function.

Need to know – Hako Sushi Bar has plenty of free, 2-hour street parking nearby.
