The Constance
Fortitude Valley
The Constance (formerly TRYP Hotel Fortitude Valley) is the quintessential Fortitude Valley hotel, a boutique establishment with state-of-the-art rooms and brick façade adorned by famed street artist, Rone.
With its close proximity to the hip Constance St precinct of bars, food and nightlife and a couple of blocks from the Valley Mall, boutiques and Chinatown, the location of Brisbane's first art hotel is unbeatable.
Layers of history permeate the 5-storey building, which was previously home to the secret society Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, and relics of its mysterious past such as a giant buffalo head, stone plaque and original staircase have been seamlessly preserved alongside cutting edge contemporary design.
Each of the four levels of accommodation is devoted to the artworks of a renowned street artist: Fintan Magee, Numskull, Rone and Beastman, who have stamped their individual style on their floors.
First storey rooms feature their own private courtyard overlooked by art-adorned walls by the artists, and the 4 other room type offerings range from twin, standard queen or king to indulgent spa rooms (with indoor or outdoor terrace spas).
The first floor also contains the hotel’s funky library with shelves containing a jumble of books and TV screens on the walls. All rooms offer interactive LSP TV, free Wi-Fi, iPod docking station, a coffee pod machine, luxe Zambeli personal amenities and touches like blue LED lighting and custom-made art adorned glass basins.
The art theme carries through to the Black Milk designer uniform with funky wearable art leggings for female staff.
Other facilities include a rooftop gym and, on the ground floor, buzzy top-value burger bar Archies. The Constance also has it's own rooftop bar, Dirty Sultan.
