The Trellis

Carseldine

Last updated: Aug 28, 2023

THE TRELLIS HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Trellis (formerly Eden Gardens) in Carseldine is a gardening nirvana - a one-stop shop for all your gardening needs with a plethora of plants and pots and much more, plus a gorgeous creekside café offering breakfast, lunch, coffee or glass of wine or beer.

This popular garden centre (by the owners of The Nurso) on the corner of Gympie and Beams Roads sits on 1.5 hectares. The sprawling gardens feature an array of outdoor plants including pretty perennials and perfumed roses, native trees and fruit trees, tropical plants and edible plants, prickly cacti and lush succulents.

Green thumbs will find everything required for a gorgeous garden, from premium potting soil and cow manure, compost bins and worm farms, to water features, sculptures and screening.

Inside the stunning, vaulted-ceiling showroom is even more greenery - indoor plants, terrariums, kokedama and orchids. In addition, there’s furniture for your backyard or balcony, cushions, candles, books and more.

Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a well-brewed cup of Di Manfredi coffee with a slice of freshly made cake in the beautiful in-house cafe overlooking a water fountain. This lovely al fresco dining space provides a tranquil setting for coffee and cake, breakfast or lunch, with a seasonal menu featuring fresh veggies and herbs grown in the café’s garden.

On the breakfast menu are The Breakfast (bacon, eggs, rocket, relish & sourdough), Dippy Eggs (2 soft boiled eggs with sourdough soldiers, bacon bits, herbs & Greek yoghurt) or Smoothie Bowl as well as a range of bagels (including The Benny, salmon or haloumi) and Tartines (mushroom, cauli, avo, or Turkish) served with salad.

There's also choice of burgers (beef, chicken, vegan or bacon & egg), salads and gourmet sandwiches (including BLT, Reuben, turkey or ham & cheese).

The Trellis cafe is licensed offering sparkling, white and red wine (predominantly from Australia) along with beer and cider.

Good to know – Not just a great place for a casual drop-in visit, The Trellis cafe is the perfect spot for group bookings, celebrations, and functions.
