The Grand on Stanley

Woolloongabba

THE GRAND ON STANLEY HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Grand on Stanley in Woolloongabba is an old world art deco bar in an historic strip of shops on Clarence Corner.

Occupying the space that was previously the popular dive bar Padre, The Grand on Stanley has maintained the original features such as the pressed metal ceiling, exposed handmade brick walls and art nouveau light fittings.

The Grand on Stanley prides itself on accessability to most budgets, with wines by the glass for $8 or $30 by the bottle and cocktails for $15. There are 2 beers on tap as well as a range of international and local craft beers by the bottle and a selection of 5 cocktails which will rotate according to popularity with punters.

Paying homage to the Mater Hospital across the road, cocktails include the likes of Penicillin (scotch, ginger wine, citrus and laphroaig float) and Painkiller (spiced rum, pineapple, orange, coconut and citrus).

And to accompany there's a small range of basic bar snacks. There's also a small astroturf courtyard out back, where from 4-7pm a food truck is parked for those after something more substantial and delicious.
