The décor is a match for the food, with gleaming polished timber floors, white VJs, picture rails and fretwork and an enclosed verandah out back with benches, bar stools and bi-fold windows to let in the breezes and local park vistas.

The front of the restaurant/bar, which is where the bar and  takeaway section are, has a Hamptons meets-Queensland vibe a stunning feature wall, while the rest of the venue features chic dining nooks with hanging woven cane light fittings.

And this is a place where you need to save room for dessert, with sweet offerings including handmade ice-creams including crème fraiche ice-cream with lemon and elderflower, vanilla bean with chocolate glaze and cotton candy, or roast banana banoffee ice-cream with dulce de leche and walnut praline, or a selection of 3 cheeses (hard, soft and blue).

One Fish Two Fish is fully licensed and offers craft beers and a selection of wines (sparking, rose, white or red) by the glass or bottle ranging from the highly affordable yet quality house white “The One That Got Away” to bottles of Louis Roederer Brut champagne.

Nice to know – Child-friendly, One Fish Two Fish has a ‘little fish’ menu of crumbed whiting with salad and fries and crumbed calamari or mini beef sausages with fries.
