Ananas Espresso

Graceville

Graceville locals will be pleased to know that the cafe formerly known as Careful My Tummy – now Ananas Espresso – is in good hands; with one of their own.

Ananas Espresso Graceville

A regular at Careful My Tummy, Marisa Robbins and her husband Paul purchased the cafe off Simon Westcombe at the beginning of 2014. Little has changed – Genovese coffee is still on pour – but Marissa has added her own touch with a recent refurbishment giving the popular cafe an industrial vintage vibe.

Ananas Espresso Graceville

Aptly named (ananas is pineapple in many languages with pineapples symbolising hospitality and welcome all over the world), Ananas Espresso is open daily for breakfast and lunch.

Patrons can dine al fresco with plenty of tables and chairs on the footpath (blankets are available for those chillier mornings) or enjoy a quiet cuppa indoors with bench seating provided.

The menu is small but scrumptious: French toast with berry coulis and mascarpone, Texas slow cooked beans with pork mince, bacon and warm spices or Turkish toast with prosciutto, Persian feta, tomato and salad greens served with boiled egg on the side finished with sumac and extra virgin olive oil.

Lighter options include muesli with apples, almonds, craisins and berry coulis or smashed avocado on sourdough while the homebaked banana bread with passionfruit butter, savoury muffins and sweets go down a treat with the excellent coffee on offer.
