The Lord Alfred Hotel, one of Brisbane’s grandest old pubs dating from the 1860's, has been given a stunning makeover to bring out its rich history whilst becoming an on-trend destination.
Formerly known as the LA Hotel, The Lord Alfred Hotel has been meticulously restored to highlight its many original features across all of its three levels, creating a myriad of nooks, crannies and charming spaces to enjoy a drink or bite to eat.
With six bars to choose from (including sport bars), along with cosy cocktail nooks, breezy outdoor decks and subterranean functions spaces, there’s something for the whole community, families included, at The Lord Alfred. The expansive drinks offering includes a stellar selection of beer, wine and spirits, with a wine fridge containing 900 bottles, a wide array of beers on tap and cocktails for all tastes.
Not just a great place for a drink, the food at The Lord Alfred is worth sticking around for, with a menu of classic pub fare and small and medium dishes to share as well as banquet style feasts. The food, which has been designed to mix and match, can be enjoyed anywhere within the hotel, whether solo, couple or part of a large group.
When it comes to functions, The Lord Alfred Hotel also has it covered, with eight unique spaces for hire, including a glass-encased brasserie, underground cellars and large top level verandah bar looking over Caxton Street. Any event from 10 up to 90 guests can be catered for here, including birthdays corporate functions, private events and boardroom meetings.
The venue offers state of the art audio visual including streaming content and playlists as well as theming suggestions, car parking, full catering services and even a function facilitator. And the kitchen offers a large range of private function menus including sit down lunches and dinners, large banquets, cocktail packages and bespoke dining affairs.
