Naim
Paddington
Naim brings the exquisite taste of modern Middle East-inspired cuisine to a quaint corner shop on a Paddington hilltop.
The spacious wooden floored dining room is divided in two by a gorgeous mosaic tiled bar and a tiny coffee lounge alcove with potted palms, with the rear section enjoying fantastic views over the pyramid tin roofs of Paddington and in the distance, the hills of the D’Aguilar Range.
The all-day foodie’s menu at Naim is an east-meets-west gathering of Israeli, Tunisian, Moroccan and contemporary Oz dishes and flavours.
For breakfast, Naim serves up dishes such as chocolate waffles and smashed avo on toast with Persian feta and poached eggs as well as delicious Middle Eastern flavoured dishes such as Shakshuka (Tunisian style baked eggs) and Corn Shawarma Ratatouille with poached eggs.
Other options include things like Brekkie Pita Board (house-made hummus, scrambled eggs, spiced tomato kasundi and Israeli salad with toasted pita bread)and Salmon Shish (grilled Tassie salmon skewers, marinated artichokes, rice pilaf and smoked tomato sauce).
Naim also has a plant-based menu with similar dishes to the main menu but with plant-based substitutes. As well as well-brewed coffee and pots of tea, drinks include house-made classics (juices and smoothies), and Brunch cocktails (including Mimosa, Boozy Spritz and Bloody Marie).
Naim is open for dinner on weekends, with a delectable Middle Eastern flavoured menu that is also available as plant-based as well as luscious cocktails and a small selection of wines, beers and ciders.
