Huskk is a fab foodie’s café found on a busy corner in Grange offering all day breakfast/lunch menu along with locally roasted Bear Bones espresso.
Family-friendly and dog-friendly, kids have their own play area with mini chalkboard, books and games, while four-legged members of the family are welcome to join patrons on the wrap-around veranda. Otherwise, there is plenty of seating inside the spacious, airy café.
The concise menu is well-thought out with a focus on fresh, locally sourced, seasonal produce. All-day breakfast fare ranges from avo on rye with thyme and lemon myrtle curds and toasted buckwheat, to pumpkin and buckwheat waffles with, sautéed swiss mushrooms, poached egg, pickled zucchini ribbons, lemon labne; or gingerbread pancakes with whey butterscotch sauce, bunya nut crumble and cream.
Lunch-style dishes include Halloumi burger with spiced sweet potato rosti, eggplant kasundi, rocket pesto; Huskk Nourish Bowl with cumin roasted pumpkin, quinoa, pomegranate, babaganoush, turmeric roasted cauliflower; Reubne Sanga on Rye ( pulled corned beef, russian dressing, sauerkraut) and Poke Bowl with pickled daikon, wakame seaweed, edamame, coconut rice, mandarin ponzu dressing.
A menu for kids consists of mini coconut granola bowls with berries, Barambah yoghurt and honey, dippy egg soldiers, gingerbread pancakes with honey and cream and ham and cheese toastie.
Besides coffee, there’s Mayde organic loose-leaf teas, Hrvst St cold pressed juices, hibiscus lemon myrtle iced tea, ginger ninja kombucha, and milkshakes.
