Farm Tours

Updated: Nov 04, 2025

Naughty Little Kids Farms Tours are just the ticket to getting the children outside and acting the goat, plus a great way to learn about life on a farm and the origins of our locally-sourced food.

Naughty Little Kids at Peaks Crossing is a family-run business, with farmer Nathan Jackson and his parents leading the tours. This fantastic family-friendly activity is only a 50-minute drive from Brisbane CBD, and a 25-minute drive from Ipswich CBD, making it a great option for a day trip with the children.

The ‘kids’ in the name relates to the resident goats that are the stars of this Scenic Rim farm, and a visit to Naughty Little Kids will get you up-close-and-personal with over 100 of the most affectionate and well-loved goats you’ll ever meet. So much so, these treasured and mischievous free-roaming characters each have their own name and personality.

A hit with people of all ages, the tours uniquely allow you the chance to pat and feed the kids, have a go at milking a goat by hand yourself, as well as discovering how fresh ricotta is made. There's even a petting zoo that gives people the chance to interact with the cutest of animals that you don't see in everyday life.

This goat farm is the real deal, with all stages of the production – from milking and manufacturing, right through to packaging – taking place on site. And best of all, the child-friendly tours showcasing the day-to-day activities that go into maintaining this working goat farm are fun, informative and educational. Simply put, it's a great weekend destination for the family that is well worth coming back to regularly.

Goat’s milk gelato in a bowl with and strawberries on the side at Naughty Little Kids Farm Tours, Peak Crossing

The change of focus from milking cows to goats stemmed from a realisation that there weren’t many alternatives available on the market for a non-dairy ice cream. The delicious goat’s milk gelato is made with 100% natural ingredients and whilst goat’s milk is not technically lactose-free, Nathan and his family like to call it "lactose-friendly".

There are 5 classic flavours on offer and you will find it hard to choose your favourite: chocolate (with a hint of fudge); a subtle-but-refreshing coffee; a delicious mint (that uses real mint leaves); strawberry (made with homemade strawberry jam folded through); and the much-loved vanilla. It is truly a food lovers oasis! The gelato is available for you to purchase and take home from the farm, so make sure you pack an esky for your visit.

It’s also nice to know that you can grab your favourite at a number of foodie spots in the Scenic Rim.

Need to know – The farm is not open on public holidays.

Nice to know – If you have a group of 10 or more, contact the office and they will happily arrange an alternate time and day for a visit.

Good to know – If you’re passing by on a Sunday afternoon and would like to try some gelato or simply say hi and pat the goats, you are welcome to drop in at no charge.
