Mission Vietnamese
Coorparoo
Mission Vietnamese is a cute, little street eatery serving all your favourite Vietnamese fare, found in Brisbane’s eastside foodie destination Coorparoo Square.
Open daily for lunch and dinner, customers can dine inside the tiny restaurant or at tables placed out front in the covered walkway which attracts a light breeze.
Whether you’re after a light snack - like homemade pork belly on a soft, steamed bun – or something more substantial such as pad thai, Mission has you covered.
Starters range from spring rolls and dim sim to dumplings and rice paper rolls stuffed with lemongrass chicken, crackling pork, prawn and fresh vegetables.
Vermicelli noodle salads are served with crispy calamari, spring rolls and deep fried tofu; while traditional Vietnamese baguettes (bahn mi) come filled with your choice of pork, crispy chicken and avocado, tuna salad or lemongrass chicken, pork or beef.
Mission’s special pho, beef broth brewed for 48 hours, is served with sliced rare beef, brisket, bean sprouts, thai basil, chilli and rice noodles. Stir fry noodles and rice dishes round out the food menu.
Drink wise, there’s green tea, homemade lemon lime and bitters, ginger beer and lemonade. Fully licensed, customers can enjoy a beer (Crown Lager, Corona, XXXX Gold or VB), sparkling, white and red wine, or sample a sake cocktail – Samurai Rock, Sake Mojito or Cucumber Cooler.
