Kiah Organic Cafe & Market

Mt Gravatt

This health-conscious café, found inside Kiah Organic Wholefoods Warehouse, is a little slice of wholesomeness serving organic coffee, smoothies, fresh juices, light eats and raw treats.

Located on Logan Road at Mt Gravatt Homemaker Centre, the café fills the front of this health food store with tables provided inside and out under umbrellas. The coffee on pour is roasted by Byron Bay boutique coffee outfit Bun.  Smoothies and cold pressed juices round out the drinks menu. The latter ranges from classic apple and orange juice to Feelgood Green (apple, celery, kale, lemon and ginger) and watermelon frappe (watermelon, mint and lime).

Food wise, there’s acai bowls and savoury treats such as spinach and cheese calzones, asparagus and goat cheese tarts and gluten-free frittatas; while more substantial fare includes vegetarian lasagne with layers of sweet potato, pumpkin and zucchini.

For something sweet, try a raw slice like lemon, fig and pistachio, chocolate mint or Ferrero Rocher.

Afterwards, browse the warehouse – a one-stop organic shop. You’ll find everything from bamboo baby wear and beauty and skin care to pet food. Not to mention, a great selection of super foods, wholefoods and self-serve bulk foods:  dried fruit, chocolate, nuts, teas, spices, pulses and grains.
