Seoul Bistro

Sunnybank

Seoul Bistro is a budget eatery found off the beaten track in Sunnybank, dishing up traditional Korean and Japanese fare with a Western twist.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, dishes are prepared using fresh ingredients and all sauces are made in house by chef/owner Paul McMullen.  Customers can dine inside the sleek and modern restaurant or al fresco on the footpath overlooking the leafy suburb.  Take-away is also available.

Popular menu items include the Japa Burger - a Japanese inspired crispy chicken burger - and Seoul Bistro’s famous fried chicken wings, which come in seven lip-smacking flavours: original, yang nyum (sweet and spicy), hot and spicy, honey soy, honey wasabi, peri peri and New York buffalo (with a side of blue cheese dip).

Rice dishes make up most of the menu like grilled chicken teriyaki, chicken karaage, katsu curry (pork, chicken or fish) and bulgogi beef – wok-fired sweet Korean marinated beef with fresh veggies, rice and fried egg; while tasty sides range from shoestring fries topped with kimchi and mayo to takoyaki (octopus balls served with sweet sauce and mayo) and gyozas.

Quench your thirst with house made, lemon iced tea, pink princess lychee lemonade or triple berry tingle fruit crush. Otherwise, there’s freshly squeezed juices, classic milkshakes and Japanese green tea. Seoul Bistro is licensed and stocks beer from Korea (Cass, Kloud) and Japan (Asahi) as well as rice wine and soju (Korean vodka).
