Lightscape is returning to transform Brisbane City Botanic Gardens into an after-dark oasis of brilliance, with a dazzling new immersive experience from August 29 to October 12, 2024.

This globally renowned, multisensory phenomenon of light, colour and sound showcases Brisbane’s City Botanic Gardens in a new light, with brand new installations created by acclaimed local and international artists.

This one-of-a-kind experience will immerse audiences in an inspiring, after-dark journey along a 1.8km trail through the iconic City Botanic Gardens. Wander beneath towering tree canopies illuminated in colour, stroll beneath larger-than-life flowers, alongside shining neon roots, and through dynamic glowing tunnels. 2024 features brand new installations joining 5-star favourites.

Two exclusive sculptural installations created by Queensland First Nations artists Paul Bong (aka Bindur Bullin) and Michelle Yeatman will take pride of place as a special feature for 2024.

Good to know - Food and drink are available to purchase along the trail. Lightscape is suitable for all ages and is wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Need to know - Session times begin nightly from 5.45pm at 15-minute intervals until late. Visitors can experience the self-guided, multi-sensory trail at their own pace with an average duration of 90 minutes.
