Slacks Creek Greenlink
Slacks Creek
Slacks Creek Greenlink is an environmental and recreation corridor in Slacks Creek that connects Compton Road with Moss Street.
This tranquil, green space set in industrial Slacks Creek is an initiative of Logan City Council, to make local natural areas more accessible to the community.
The multi-million dollar project included landscaping the creek to ensure the right balance between protecting the surrounding environment while allowing community access.
Commencing at Compton Road in Moss Park, you'll find giant origami cranes atop poles and sun lounge art structures. The one kilometre shared pathway then meanders through bushland along Slacks Creek before crossing over it, with a new bridge connecting both sides of the creek.
This pathway is perfect for children to learn how to ride a bike as the 3-4 metre wide path is mostly flat.
To ensure the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, the corridor has lighting and 24-hour monitored CCTV security cameras.
Nice to know - Extraction Artisan Coffee is adding a rear deck to its premises which will allow direct access from the pathway to the cafe.
