Bowman Park
Bardon
Once upon a time part of the Bardon House estate and known as Cobblers Flats thanks to the plague of cobblers pegs weeds, today this park nestled in Bardon’s foothills is a peaceful shady ground for picnicking and small child’s play with the addition of basketball half courts, cricket pitch, BMX and skate paths and a sports oval.
Flanked by Ithaca Creek on one side, beyond lie some bush tracks to take the more intrepid into the Bardon hills or the less actively inclined on a short hiking loop past a gully mysteriously dotted with the bodies of 1960’s cars.
