Bakehouse Steakhouse
Ipswich
Bakehouse Steakhouse is a red brick Ipswich bakery (circa 1875) that has been transformed into a cool and stylish Euro-style steakhouse that is also family friendly.
The historic building still features Haley’s Bakery original exterior while through the pink entrance door is a stunning space with metal floors, backlit bar and the original baker’s oven, and outside a chic retro courtyard with pink umbrellas.
Naturally steak is the menu hero at Bakehouse Steakhouse, ranging from Flank steak (250g Angus marble score 2+), through Strip Loin, Rump or Rib Filet up to Dry Aged OP Rib on the Bone (from the in-house dry aging cabinet) with all steaks served with endless fries, salad and choice of sauce. Other mains include Crumbed Pork Cutlet (with cabbage salad, bakehouse mustard) or Bakehouse Cheeseburger (both served with endless fries) or the Bakehouse Salad (honey roasted pumpkin, quinoa, avocado, fire roasted peppers, hazelnuts, goats cheese and sherry vinaigrette).
Add on some delicious sides like truffle parmesan mash, roasted root vegetables with yoghurt dressing or iceberg wedge salad.
Dessert here at Bakehouse Steakhouse is a real nostalgic treat, with a dessert bar in a neon-lit corner featuring a Flavorama soft serve machine, that patrons can opt to choose a flavour to mix with favourite treats.
Need to know - There’s also a great kids menu (for those up to 12 years old) of cheeseburger, steak frites, spaghetti or crumbed chicken, all served with soft drink and dessert.
Nice to know - Bakehouse Steakhouse has a fantastic ambient function room available.
