A Girl's Guide to World War

Due to the extreme weather conditions of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, the difficult decision has been made to postpone the performance of A Girl’s Guide to World War, scheduled for Saturday 8 March at 3pm.

The true story of Aussie women who defied convention and became decorated war heroes is brought to life in ‘A Girl’s Guide to World War’ at Redland Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, 8 March.

Told with rollicking humour and stirring original music, this is the story the history books didn’t want you to know about, featuring Australia’s most inspiring unsung heroes, Dr Agnes Bennett and Dr Lilian Cooper. 

After the army tells them to ‘stay home and sit still’, these fearless women go to the frontline anyway and earn national acclaim for their bravery running an all-women hospital on the Serbian frontlines during WWI.

Bravery, love, and resilience shine in this unforgettable performance about the history-making medics who earned the respect of armies and saved countless lives.
