Festival of Horsepower

The Festival of Horsepower returns to the City of Ipswich in June with a month-long, action-packed program, full of adrenaline and excitement. 

The annual festival features a number of Australia’s signature racing and motorsport events including the Gulf Western Oil Winternational which races into Willowbank Raceway from 5-8 June. This is the biggest drag racing event outside North America and will bring 400+ cars and motorcycles from all over the world to compete over four big days of racing.

Another festival highlight is 2 Days of Thunder at Queensland Raceway on 28 and 29 June. This massive weekend of Super Series racing is filled with thrilling on track action, a diverse car lineup, motorsport legends, trade stands and plenty of entertainment.

For those seeking more glitz and glamour, you can’t go past Ipswich’s ultimate social event – the TAB Ipswich Cup on 21 June at the Ipswich Turf Club. Whether it’s the horses you follow, fashions on the field, the DJ festival or just catching up with friends, this an event not to be missed.
