Red Lotus Vietnamese

Annerley

Updated: Aug 26, 2025

Red Lotus Vietnamese Chargrill Restaurant is located a few doors down from sister cafe Cafe O-Mai near Chardon's Corner in Annerley.

Less formal than his Chinatown eatery of the same name, Red Lotus at Annerley is a casual affair with indoor/outdoor seating and modern decor including beautiful lotus lampshades and a mural of the siblings as children overlooking the dining space.

While the menu has been pared down compared to the Valley restaurant, all the favourites are here including the Red Lotus signature range of chargrilled dishes such as HLS (honey, lemongrass and sesame) chicken, lamb cutlets and pork chops served with jasmine rice and garden salad.

Start with some steamed dim sims, fresh rice paper rolls, crispy spring rolls or salt and pepper squid, followed by traditional Pho beef noodle soup or vermicelli noodle salad with deep fried tofu, chargrilled chicken, house made crackling pork or a little bit of everything.

Other popular menu items include green papaya salad, crispy roast duck and tamarind chilli prawns.  But make sure to save some room for dessert - deep fried ice-cream with topping (wild fruit berry, passionfruit or grand marnier) or try their range of Asian inspired ice-creams in flavours like lychee, coconut kaffir lime, jackfruit and taro.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
