Farah Restaurant
Spring Hill
Farah Restaurant is an oasis of traditional high-quality Persian cuisine in the inner-city suburb of Spring Hill.
The expansive restaurant is decked out with traditional Iranian trinkets and colourful, decorative lighting. There’s plenty of tables inside as well as tables outside for al fresco dining.
Dips are a great place to start in a Persian Restaurant and Farah’s four dip dish is a popular choice, allowing diners to taste hummus, mirza ghasemi, mast moosir and mast o khlar.
Share plates are a great choice for diners new to Persian food, so that you can taste a bit of everything. The FARAH Mix for two features koobideh, joojeh and chenjeh (skewers), chicken wings, lamb cutlet, saffron rice, garden salad, grilled tomato, hummus and yoghurt dip.
The platter is served with a bowl of Persian rice.
Traditional Persian dessert is quite the delight, generally infused with flavours of rose water and pistachio. The Faloodeh is a cold dessert of vermicelli-sized noodles mixed in a rose water syrup that resembles sorbet.
Farah Restaurant is BYO but if you’re looking to taste something different try Arabic Coffee, served traditionally in demitasse cups.
