The Spaghetti House Trattoria

South Brisbane

The Spaghetti House Trattoria serves rustic Italian fare and bona fide European wine to South Brisbane’s appreciators of pasta and vino.

The Spaghetti House Trattoria

The ambient restaurant is nestled on the corner of Grey Street and Little Stanley Street – with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Diners can sit outside under umbrellas and festoon lighting, or inside under low lights and surrounded by wine bottles from floor to ceiling. A large Ciao sign lights up half the restaurant, representing diners gathering with the perfect company.

The Spaghetti House Trattoria

Before the main fanfare of pasta dishes, one of their Cichetti is a ‘must do’. Particularly their Fichi E Prosciutto Con Gorgonzola Fondu, which is a dish of prosciutto wrapped figs sat in a pool of delectable gorgonzola fondu.

The Spaghetti House Trattoria

Onto the pasta dishes, the lengthy menu makes it difficult to choose as they’re all as incredible as the other. From gnocchi to ravioli, risotto to spaghetti – you name the pasta, it’s on the menu. When in doubt, their specials board is always a good place to start. Try their lobster gnocchi or mushroom and black truffle ravioli.

The Spaghetti House Trattoria

Accompany your delectable pasta dish with a fresh tomato salad, dressed with burrata, fresh basil and balsamic.

The Spaghetti House Trattoria

There is a range of traditional Italian desserts to choose from for after mains including, gelato, tiramisu, panna cotta and a deconstructed alcoholic affogato al café.

The drinks menu features a long list of wines from all over the world, particularly Italy. Alternatively, there is a range of ciders, cocktails, liquors and non-alcoholic beverages.

Nice to know - Gluten free pasta is available and there are also a range of great options for vegans and vegetarians.

Need to know – Receive a park and dine voucher from the restaurant for $5 parking from 5pm, Mon – Thurs. With its close proximity to QPAC and the Piazza, The Spaghetti House makes an ideal pre or post-show dining venue - and it's open late.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
