Osteria Epoca

Yeronga

Osteria Epoca is a charming Italian café, bar, deli and restaurant tucked away in an historic little pocket of Yeronga, opposite a park.

Embracing the community feel of this riverside suburb, the restaurant is cultivating the neighbourhood vibes that an Italian eatery is all about. The look and feel of the restaurant was inspired by Head Chef and owner, Lorenzo’s upbringing in his grandmother’s home.

Osteria Epoca serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as bar snacks, pastries and there is even a deli for gourmet groceries. It is a one-stop-shop for all things Italian, and delicious.

The restaurant is large, with bar seating, indoor tables and outdoor tables available, while the deli is reflective of his great grandmother’s own deli in Italy.

The menu also reflects Lorenzo’s Italian upbringing, with banquet dining included. This is a three- or four-course banquet named Nonna’s Table, which is ideal for group dining. This is influenced by the Italian culture of when you are at Nonna’s house – ‘you get what you’re given’, so the dishes are chosen for you by the Chef’s.

There is a range of antipasti treats on the menu, such as the House Jared Marinated Tuna and Crostini. This unique and fresh dish plays on the tuna in a can idea, but instead it is served in a jar. On the Primi menu, there is an array of pasta and risotto dishes to choose from. The pasta is made fresh, in-house by the Chefs. There is also a Secondi menu for main meat, fish and vegetable dishes, as well as Contorni plates to accompany these.

The Salumi, Stuzzichini and Marinati menus are laden with delicious Salumi boards and antipasti treats. These dishes are ideal for snacking and group dining with a drink or two, or as an entrée before your meal.

Dining for breakfast? The breakfast menu is laden with delectable Italian inspired dishes. The Tomato Bruschetta is a favourite, served with burrata, basil and olive oil.

Coffee is sourced from a local West End roaster and is presented with gold coffee beans. Alternatively, there are juices, soft drinks and of course cocktails, wine and beer from the bar.
