Taro's Ramen

Stones Corner

Taro's Ramen in Stones Corner is one of Brisbane's best ramen bars, serving big bowls of slurp-worthy tonkotsu soup.

The spacious interior features exposed brick walls, polished floorboards and ambient lighting with banquette seating and timber tables filling the ramen restaurant.

The mouth-watering menu includes traditional tonkotsu (pork bone broth with house made noodles, slices of Bangalow pork, organic egg and shallots), as well as delicious vegan ramen - plant-based broth with home made wheat and konnyaku noodles, topped with braised tofu, bamboo, sprouts, shallots, sesame seeds and nori.

If you like it hot, try the highly-recommended Red Tonkotsu with house made chilli oil, or Fire Tonkotsu with 4 different hits of chilli - chilli oil, chilli flakes, extra spicy chilli oil, and shredded chilli.

In addition, there's a range of sides on offer like kimchi, edamame, gyoza, chicken karaage and charsiu rice with chilli and takana.

Need to know - Taro's recommends that customers dine-in as ramen should be enjoyed straight away for the best tastes. Take-away is available but not encouraged.
