Plenty Continental Deli
Eight Mile Plains
Plenty Continental Deli, located in the busy shopping complex on the corner of Warrigal and Padstow Roads in Eight Mile Plains, is the south side’s go to for traditional cured meats, top-notch cheeses, stuffed olives, antipasti and hard-to-find pantry items.
Serving south side residents for well over a decade, Plenty is an apt name for this little deli; packed to the rafters with fine, gourmet food from Australia and abroad.
Shelves are piled high with jars of jelly, jam, mustard, mayo and chutney; while the deli counter is brimming with smallgoods. There’s Italian prosciutto, Spanish jamon, Hungarian hot salami, wagyu beef, gypsy triple-smoked ham and more – all sliced to order.
Nestled next to the cold meats, you’ll find bowls of big fat Greek kalamata olives, balsamic and rosemary marinated olives, and plump olives stuffed with anchovies, almonds, blue cheese or chilli.
Past the rows of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, hot sauces and BBQ rubs, at the rear of the store, are the dry goods - think homemade pastas, black beans, brown rice and white quinoa.
Fridges are full of delicious dips - traditional hommus, crunchy basil, smoked salmon and sweet chilli crab to name a few – and gourmet cheeses (international and Australian.)
As well as stocking some of Australia’s small and big purveyors of gourmet goods - Beerenberg Family Farm, Pukara Estate and Maggie Beer - Plenty proudly supports local suppliers like Lick ice-cream, Delizia gelato and Barambah Organics milk and yoghurt (all Brisbane based).
And as if that isn’t enough, the front section is crammed with confectionary, from tinned biscuits and toffee, to French truffles and Belgium chocolates, and butter fudge and nutty nougat.
Need to know – Plenty carries a great range of gluten-free, organic and vegan products.
