Fuel Brewing Co is a convivial indie craft brewery and wood-fired pizzeria located in a sleek converted warehouse down by the river end of Oxford St Bulimba.

Whether you're a beer or pizza fan, you're going to want to make tracks for Fuel Brewing Co, which not only serves up 18+ locally beers on tap, but some of the best pizzas and Italian bar snacks on this side of the river.

Family friendly and pooch friendly, Fuel Brewing Co has you covered for any occasion, from a family night out (kids eat free on Wednesdays) to a casual date night to catch-up with friends.

Outside is an astro-turf courtyard where well-behaved doggos are welcome to join their owners and inside there's plenty of seating in the funky high-ceilinged space, which also features an electronic dart machine.

From the food menu, which is Italian restaurant quality, delectable small plates to share include antipasto; garlic pizzetta; burrata plate (burrata, proscuitto, marinated tomatoes & basil pesto oil); calamari fritti (buttermilk squid with spring onion mayo, chives & lemon); and bruschetta (focaccia, marinated tomatoes, basil, buffalo mozzarella, garlic oil, sea salt & balsamic glaze).

The impressive range of handmade Neapolitan-style pizzas are crafted with house made 48-hour slow-rise dough and come with a mouth-watering range of classic and creative toppings.

Recommended are the Vegetarian (capsicum sauce, mozzarella, olives, mushrooms, pickled zucchini, red onion, cherry tomatoes & finished with a balsamic glaze); Beef Ragu (capsicum sauce, mozzarella, beef cheek ragu, mushrooms, red onion, parmesan, garlic oil & herbs); Carne (housemade beer BBQ sauce, mozzarella, salami, bacon, chicken & red onion); and Truffle (mozzarella, mushrooms, truffle oil, pancetta & pulled pork).

Also worth trying are the Formagio di Capra Zucca (pumpkin puree, pear, goats cheese, walnut, cherry tomato with honey drizzle, topped with rocket); and Gamberini (chilli sauce, mozzarella, garlic prawns & cherry tomatoes). There's also a small menu of kids pizzas (cheese, ham & pineaple or salami).

With all dishes coming in hearty and generous portions, it';s worth saving room for dessert, with a choice of melt-in-the-mouth home made tiramisu or a small selection of gelato and ice-cream available.

As for drinks, as well as the rotating selection of beers there's also boutique wines and spirits and a small curated Spritz menu including Limoncello, Aperol, Orange & Ginger or Pomegrantae & Orange Spritz.

Good to know - Pizza is also available as takeaway.
Need to know - There are a handful of onsite car parks available, otherwise street parking. Bulimba Ferry Termnal is approx 220m (3 minute walk) away.
