Bardon Thyme
Bardon
Bardon Thyme is a quaint cafe housed in an historic convenience store and former tram stop in the lovely, leafy suburb of Bardon.
Located a short stroll from Bowman Park, this dog-friendly café provides seating on the footpath (with fresh bowls of water for furry friends) and inside with an eclectic mix of retro timber furniture.
The concise, ever changing menu includes simple food done well using fresh, locally sourced produce.
Customers can enjoy wholesome breakfast fare such as house made granola with natural yoghurt, honey and saffron poached pear or avocado on sourdough with cherry tomatoes and housemade beetroot tahini hummus.
For lunch, try the homemade asparagus and feta frittata or truffle, thyme and mushroom polenta slice with seasonal salad on the side.
Coffee on pour is Campos Superior blend, best accompanied by a freshly baked brownie or caramel slice.
The cafe also offers single origin coffee, Origin loose leaf tea, hot chocolate, chai, Noah’s fresh juices and StrangeLove organic soft drinks.
