Full Moon Hotel

Set on the banks of Bramble Bay, Sandgate's award winning Full Moon Hotel enjoys stunning views on a clear day of Moreton Island, the Glasshouse Mountains, the city and the harbour.

The Moon as it is affectionately known, sits high on a bluff overlooking Bramble Bay, from where it been operating as a licensed venue for over 150 years. In the early 1860s Osbourne House was built to accommodate travellers in the area, before it became the Osbourne Hotel, and much later, the Full Moon Hotel.

There is something for everyone at the Moon - cocktails in the Moonlight Bar; delicious meals in the Bistro; Sports, Tab & Keno, in the Osbourne bar as well as the Treehouse play space for kids, a VIP gaming room, function rooms and a drive-thru bottleshop.

They also offer mid-week specials such as schnitzel night, steak night, musical bingo and trivia, all of which are big hits with locals and newcomers alike.

The Moonlight Bar oozes a modern, fresh coastal style and welcomes locals and visitors far and wide from including families, day-trippers, locals through to historical tour groups coming together to eat, drink, create memories and enjoy the Hotel.

Paying tribute to its colourful history, the newly renovated Full Moon Hotel retains much of its original character, including the local’s favourite Osbourne Sports Bar – which is where Osbourne House first stood.

The Full Moon Hotel beverage menu offers original and innovative cocktails, a specially selected wine menu, reserve list from all over Australia and the food offering is not just premium and creative, but covers the classics as well.

In collaboration with Balter Brewery, an onsite Balter Beer Tank delivers the freshest of beer. Tank Beer ensures that fresh cold beer is delivered fresh and cold to the tank, and then to the customer.
