The Corner Big Day Out

The State Library of Queensland will transform into a playground packed with exciting FREE activities and performances for children aged 0-10 years and their families at The Corner Big Day Out on April 26. 

Enjoy performances by:

Justine Clarke:  get your groove on with Australia's much-loved children's entertainer, singer, and TV host.
dirtgirlworld:  meet the eco-warriors dirtgirl and scrapboy, who bring their love for nature, messages of sustainability and fun to the stage.
Common People Dance Project:  shake it with the Common People Dance Project! This fun, inclusive dance activation invites everyone to move and groove.

Activities include:

River City Steel Bands – Get into the rhythm with the steel drum band and let the music move you.
Mini curators – Pop on a pair of gloves and join our curation team to design a display that celebrates our home.
Paper making – Learn about the art of preserving Queensland's history, and take home your own handmade paper.

Other activities include:

Digital fun – Work with the team from The Edge to create interactive art on iPads.
Craft workshops – Explore the library and discover fun, hands-on craft activities for all ages.
Food and drinks – Tasty treats and refreshing drinks to fuel your day of play
